Volume 10 of the ecclesiastical-scientific periodical edition Gragnili of Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary contains articles prepared by doctoral students and master’s degree graduates. These texts represent abridged and reworked versions of the master’s degree theses and parts of the doctoral ones.

The material, which covers various branches of theological literature (exegetics, dogmatics, history of the Church, ascetics, liturgy, ecclesiastical law, hymnography), includes theoretical studies and previously unpublished old Georgian translations of the works of the great Byzantine Church fathers Evagrius Ponticus and Theodore Abū Qurrah. The authors of these translations are the representatives of different translation schools, Saint Ephrem Mtsire and Saint Arsen of Iqhalto.

Through the presented articles, the general public of readers will get acquainted with important novelties. The full use and consideration of the scientific achievements attained in these fields will make the works included in the collection even more valuable.
